About the Role:
Camms Automotive Repair of Homewood is looking for a motivated Apprentice Mechanic to join our team in Homewood, IL! This is a fantastic opportunity to learn the trade hands-on alongside experienced technicians and kick-start your career in automotive repair.
Responsibilities:
Assist lead technicians with vehicle diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance
Perform basic services such as oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid checks
Learn and apply proper use of shop tools, lifts, and diagnostic equipment
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
Support the shop with vehicle inspections and multi-point checks
Follow shop procedures and safety protocols at all times
Requirements:
Basic knowledge of automotive systems and repair fundamentals
Eagerness to learn and grow in the automotive repair trade
Ability to work well in a team-oriented shop environment
Strong work ethic, reliability, and a positive attitude
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
High school diploma or GED preferred; vocational/technical training a plus
