Field Service Engineer - Los Angeles Region

Waters Corporation seeks a Field Service Engineer to install, maintain, and repair advanced life science instrumentation at customer sites throughout the Los Angeles region. The role involves on-site technical support, troubleshooting complex equipment, and collaborating with internal teams to ensure optimal performance and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Perform installations, calibrations, preventive maintenance, and repairs on laboratory instruments
• Diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently using diagnostic tools and manuals
• Provide customer training on equipment operation and basic maintenance
• Maintain service records and spare parts inventory through CRM system
• Travel extensively to customer sites within the designated region on short notice

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Biomedical, or Mechanical Engineering or related technical field
• 3-5 years field service engineering experience in life sciences, biotechnology, or medical devices
• Expertise troubleshooting and repairing complex electromechanical and optical systems
• Strong knowledge of electronics, pneumatics, fluidics, and laboratory software interfaces
• Excellent analytical problem-solving and communication skills
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record; ability to lift 50 lbs

Compensation: $38/hour + depending upon experience
