Host - Restaurant

Job Summary The Lambertville Station Restaurant and Inn, a member of Genesis Hospitality, is a high-volume restaurant, seeking experienced and team-oriented candidates for the Full-Time Host position. We are looking for outgoing, energetic individuals to greet and seat our guests here at the restaurant. We offer a flexible schedule with daytime/nighttime hours and weekend hours. An ideal candidate will be a team player willing to work a flexible schedule. But above all make sure the guest enjoys their time at the Lambertville Station Restaurant! Responsibilities Welcome guests to the venue Provide accurate wait times and monitor waiting lists Manage reservations Escort customers to assigned dining or bar areas Maintain a clean reception area Coordinate with wait staff about available seating options Greet customers upon their departure Provide menus and announce Waiter/Waitress’s name Cater to guests who require extra attention (e.g., children, elderly) Answer incoming calls and address customers’ queries Assist wait staff as needed Requirements High degree of service orientation, positive attitude and ability to multitask. Able to work independently as well as work as part of a team. Candidate must be dependable and reliable. Outstanding people skills. Ability to work under pressure and high-paced work environment. Strong verbal and written skills. Physical Demands: The employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear The employee is frequently required to stand and walk Requires moderate physical efforts: standing, carrying, bending, stretching, stooping, pulling and pushing, lifting of weights up to 50 pounds.
