As a U-Haul Shop Foreman, you will use U-Haul Company’s proprietary technology to assess and care for field vehicles. Shop Foreman Primary Responsibilities: Schedule and coordinate the flow of equipment into and within the shop. Guide repair personnel to maximize efficiency. Act under direction of the shop manager Make well-informed decisions regarding equipment repair. Team Members are expected to willingly lend assistance in additional areas as necessary, following the directives and guidance of their supervisor. Shop Foreman Minimum Qualifications: Experience dismounting, balancing and mounting tires. Experience in automotive operating systems and technology. Expertise with vehicle batteries and electrical systems. Understanding in the area of vehicle-collision repair and estimating. Ability to build and rebuild trailer components including brake system and equalizers. Familiarity with automotive measuring and diagnostic tools. Driver’s license and the ability to maintain a clean record. May be required to use protective clothing or gear such as masks, goggles, gloves, or shields. Physical Demands: The work requires some physical exertion, such as long periods both indoors and outdoors while remaining stationary, traversing spaces, repositioning to reach and use tools, and moving a minimum of 50 lbs. assisted or unassisted.
