Production Worker

Job Full Description

We are seeking production associates with our client, a manufacturing company located in Fitchburg!

These are great temp-to-hire openings, with the opportunity to get in with a company that is experiencing great growth.

Overview : Performs various assembly and machine operation tasks that includes laminating, slitting, die-cutting and assembly work with various materials including foams, rubbers, metals, graphite, cork-fibers, and fiberglass.


Follow standard work methods and practice safe work habits to ensure production is as efficient and safe as possible.

Duties and Responsibilities :


• Sets-up and operate any shop machine in accordance with established procedures and guidelines


• Reads and interprets blueprints, drawings, Job Orders, routers and diagrams to select dies, position, and secure machinery


• Adheres to operating procedures/instructions


• Adjusts machine settings to complete tasks per specification to run job orders accurately and maximize productivity


• Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to supervisors


• Communicate process and quality improvements via CPAR system


• Maintain a clean and safe work station


• Accurately record labor and material usage in ERP system


• Other responsibilities as assigned by management


Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:


• Ability to read and perform basic math skills including counting


• Ability to use various tools including tape measure, dial caliper, and other hand tools


• Must have a good command of the English language, both written and spoken


• Basic reading skills for understanding drawings, Job Orders, and specs


• Able to follow directions


• Strong manual dexterity

Hours:

• 1st shift: 6:00am-4:30pm Mon-Thur
• 2nd shift: 3:30pm - 2am Mon-Thur
• Overtime required at times on Fridays

Pay:

• $18/hr.+ for 1st shift
• $19/hr.+ for 2nd shift
