What You'll Be Responsible For Rather than simply managing the numbers, you'll be helping lead the institution. Key areas of responsibility include: Providing strategic financial leadership and counsel to executive leadership and the Board. Leading budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and long-range modeling efforts. Ensuring strong financial stewardship and institutional sustainability. Overseeing accounting, treasury, cash management, investments, audits, covenant compliance, and financial reporting. Monitoring institutional financial performance and identifying opportunities for growth and efficiency. Ensuring compliance with federal, state, accreditation, nonprofit, and Title IV requirements. Supporting strategic initiatives, capital investments, and organizational planning efforts. Building and mentoring a high-performing finance team. The Ideal Candidate We are interested in accomplished financial leaders who are energized by mission-driven work and excited by the opportunity to make a meaningful impact. Successful candidates will likely possess: Experience in higher education. Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field. CPA strongly preferred. Progressive financial leadership experience as a CFO, Vice President of Finance, Controller, Associate Vice President, or similar executive role. Experience in higher education, nonprofit organizations, arts organizations, healthcare, or other mission-driven environments. Strong knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, audits, compliance, and cash flow management. Ability to communicate complex financial concepts to diverse stakeholders, including trustees and non-financial leaders. A collaborative leadership style and a strategic mindset. #J-18808-Ljbffr
