Ability to follow a schematic for debugging components on a board.• Experience with ARM/x86 architectures and accelerated GPU computing.Job DescriptionWe are now looking for an Engineering Lab Technician (Contract) in the System Products Team to support datacenter products. This newest member will collaborate with an innovative multidisciplinary extraordinary team of engineers to help build and develop our industry leading AI CPU and GPU accelerated computing products. This role will maintain and debug lab systems involving sophisticated system level hardware and software. System level performance testing is accomplished using industry leading Deep Learning/AI applications. In this role you will gain a deep understanding of datacenter products as we take on the challenge to solve complex technical issues, so there will be plenty of opportunity for learning new skills related to datacenter products and infrastructure. The primary responsibility is to support our engineering teams during development to ensure outstanding quality products may be released to the market and delight our customers can achieve their professional aspirations using NVIDIA technology. The new lab team member will work independently to complete daily tasks according to priorities, demonstrate a passion towards system level product quality, and should be comfortable in the lab environment.What you'll be doing:The assigned schedule for this Weekend shift is Friday through Monday 9:30am-8:30pm. (Typically 10 hours/day) This role may require overtime and work during company-designated holidays, depending on business and operational needs.Assemble, build and install bench top development platforms and large datacenter server systems. Perform assembly/disassembly and mechanical reworks involving power tools such as a Dremel. Prepare boards for detailed solder reworks to be completed by another lab.Run system tests. Collect and report on testing results. Screen modules and boards as part of validation testing and debug.Connect oscilloscope probes to boards and collect signal waveform data.Maintain and organize the lab equipment for efficiency and continuously look for ways to improve lab processes. Support lab shipping & receiving logistics and manage inventory of equipment and materials.
