Staff Accountant

Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant with a strong foundation in accounting principles and at least five years of hands?on experience. This role will support the accounting team in maintaining accurate financial records, assisting with month?end close, and ensuring compliance with company policies and GAAP standards.

Location: Woodland Hills, CA

Key Responsibilities Prepare and post journal entries and maintain general ledger accounts

Assist with month?end, quarter?end, and year?end close processes

Perform bank and account reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and completeness

Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as needed

Analyze financial data and investigate variances

Maintain fixed asset schedules and depreciation calculations

Assist in preparation of financial statements and management reports

Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies

Support audit requests and provide documentation for external auditors

Assist with process improvements and system enhancements

Qualifications Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in Accounting, Finance, or related field required

Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting experience

Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP

Experience with general ledger, reconciliations, and financial reporting

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.)

Experience with ERP or accounting systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, etc.)

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

Preferred Qualifications Experience working in a mid-size or fast-paced organization

Exposure to audits and financial reporting

Knowledge of internal controls and compliance
