Looking for a Java backend developer Java REST API services - person will play a key role in defining and executing on a new service oriented architecture built on REST and leveraging API management. Spring Boot framework- Backend Oracle

The Team Stock Plan Services administers equity compensation programs on behalf of public and private companies offering various compensations programs such as: Employee Stock Purchase Plans, Restricted Stock Awards/Units, Stock Option Plans, Stock Appreciation Rights and Performance based Awards. Currently SPS services over 2M participants employed by over 300 clients and spread out in 150 countries. The business is looking to further expand in the international equity compensation market, focused initially on western European countries and companies based there. As part of this business initiative, we are extending our capabilities to enable a truly global platform

The Expertise We Are Looking For

• 5-8 years of software development experience
• 5+ years total OO development experience
• 4-6 years of Java EE development experience
• Experience with API Manager tools
• Understanding of and experience with Micro-Services Architecture concepts and emerging patterns such as APIs, JAX-RS, REST/JSON
• Application development using Java EE, Spring framework
• Relational databases like DB2 or Oracle as well as no-SQL databases
• Event driver transaction processing using EAI, ESB and messaging patterns using technologies such as WSO2, ActiveMQ, Tomcat etc.
• Security integration using oAuth and LDAP
• CI/CD tools such as Maven, Git/Stash, Jenkins, Nexus, uDeploy, Docker etc.
• Cloud deployment models
• A solid understanding of networking/distributed computing environment concepts.
• Ability to multi-task and stay organized in a dynamic work environment while meeting deliverables.
• Curiosity to stay abreast with new and emerging technologies and concepts and to find ways to apply those to business problems.
• Plays a key role in resolving technical roadblocks involving multiple technologies
• Experience with Agile development methodologies such as SCRUM, Extreme Programming, TDD etc.
• Strong verbal and written communications, must be able to effectively engage other team members
• Understanding of Agile development methodology and exposure to development technique
