Project Manager - Construction

Location: Columbus, OH Compensation: $130,000–$150,000 Travel: USA & Canada (vehicle provided) Reports to: General Manager Direct Reports: 1–2 Superintendents Sponsorship: Not available MUST HAVES (Non-Negotiable) 10+ years of Industrial Construction Project Management experience Strong background in on-site general contracting supervision Experience managing large-scale industrial projects (large commercial may be considered) Retail-only or residential-only backgrounds are not a fit Ability to travel extensively across the U.S. and Canada Valid U.S. driver’s license Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Project Manager – Construction to lead industrial construction projects from planning through completion. This role is responsible for overseeing day-to-day on-site operations, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This position reports directly to the General Manager and provides leadership to Superintendents and subcontractors while maintaining strong client communication and project controls. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage all phases of industrial construction projects Develop and manage project budgets, cost estimates, and forecasts Oversee scheduling, execution plans, and detailed work procedures Monitor contract compliance, daily reports, meeting minutes, and client communications Submit monthly management reports including schedules, payment applications, change orders, and safety updates Manage field teams, subcontractors, and vendor coordination Maintain full responsibility for project quality and safety control measures Make discretionary decisions regarding revisions to overall construction plans Required Knowledge & Qualifications Extensive experience within the construction industry, specifically industrial projects Strong understanding of engineering and architectural drawings and specifications Ability to interpret project plans, governmental regulations, and contract documents Proven leadership experience managing field personnel and subcontractors Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Proficiency with computer systems and standard business applications Work Environment & Physical Requirements Typical construction site environment Ability to walk active job sites, climb stairs/ladders, and access rooftops Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and push/pull materials on wheels (60–80 pounds) Must be physically capable of standing, walking, bending, twisting, and reaching throughout the workday Ability to follow all on-site safety protocols Additional Information Small relocation package may be available for the right candidate Travel is accommodated and company vehicle is provided This is a leadership opportunity with full project ownership and decision-making authority If you have deep industrial construction project management experience and are ready to lead high-impact projects across North America, this is an opportunity to step into a key leadership role with strong compensation and growth potential. #J-18808-Ljbffr iLocatum
