Wright Implement is searching for qualified individuals for the purpose of selling new and used agricultural and turf equipment to new and existing customers.Job ResponsibilitiesSafely operate delivery vehicles, such as trucks or vans, to transport equipment to and from specified locations.Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues, and perform preventive maintenance as needed.Plan routes and meet delivery schedules, taking into account traffic patterns and weather conditions.Load and unload equipment, ensuring that it is secured properly to prevent damage during transportation.Verify the contents of inventory loads against shipping papers to ensure accuracy.Maintain logs of vehicle maintenance, delivery documentation, and customer interactions in compliance with company policies and DOT regulations.Provide excellent customer service during delivery, which may include equipment setup and demonstration of proper use.Handle paperwork, such as receipts or delivery confirmation notices, and collect payments when necessary.Communicate with dispatch or management regarding any delivery delays, issues with equipment, or customer concerns.Comply with all transportation laws and maintain a safe driving record.Report any accidents or vehicle damage immediately to management.Perform emergency roadside repairs, such as changing tires or addressing minor mechanical issues, if safe and possible.Ensure that the equipment is clean and presentable before and after each delivery.Assist in the inventory management of the equipment, including checking in returned items and documenting their condition.Participate in ongoing trainingJob RequirementsMinimum of 1 year of commercial driving experienceClean driving record with no moving violations within the last two yearsAbility to pass a DOT physical examination and drug screeningHigh school diploma or equivalentFamiliarity with DOT regulations and transportation lawsProficiency in operating GPS devices and electronic logbooksPhysical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and handle heavy equipmentExperience in securing and transporting heavy equipment safelyBasic mechanical skills for minor repairs and maintenance of vehiclesExcellent time management skills to maintain delivery schedulesStrong customer service orientation for interactions with clientsAbility to read and interpret delivery instructions and safety manualsFlexibility to work varied hours, including weekends and overtime as neededKnowledge of safe driving practices and defensive driving techniquesWillingness to adhere to assigned routes, schedules, safety procedures, and transportation lawsWright Implement is an equal-opportunity employer.
