Senior Medication Aide - Long Term Care at Providence Child Center in Portland, Oregon. This posting represents a full time day shift position. Hours are 7am-7:30pm (3, 12 hour shifts), with rotating weekends and holidays.
Our Long-Term Care unit within the Child Center has a total of 46 beds, serving both pediatric and adult patients. We care for a unique and diverse population of medically fragile individuals, ranging from children with complex developmental and neurological conditions to adults with chronic illnesses and disabilities. Some of our residents require long-term ventilator support, tracheostomy care, and all require some assistance with activities of daily living. Our team is deeply committed to providing compassionate, resident-centered care in a nurturing environment.

- Lyra Caregiver Assistance program- Up to 25 counseling or coaching sessions per eligible member per year
Provides accurate medication administration and observes residents for drug reactions and manages medication processes, procedures, storage, and the medication room. Acts as Subject Matter Expert in knowledge of drug interactions, medication management, and medication administration. Maintains a safe environment under direction and supervision of a licensed nurse (RN or LPN).

Required Qualifications:
- Education to meet certification, license or registration requirement
- Upon hire: Oregon Certified Medication Aide
- Upon hire: Oregon Nursing Assistant Certification License
- Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
- Upon hire: In Compliance with the Department of Human Services (DHS), a criminal background check is required for this position
- 1 year experience as a CMA in a health care setting
Preferred Qualifications:
- 6 months As CNA 2 with Providence

Posted are the minimum and the maximum wage rates on the wage range for this position. The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
