Maintenance Technician II

Maintenance TechnicianProvide skilled maintenance and complex repair work on the physical plant, hospital, campus grounds, and limited medical and non-medical equipment. Uphold the organization's vision, mission, and corporate values. Demonstrate understanding of and compliance with organization's policies, procedures, code of conduct and work rules.Essential Functions:Perform high level preventive and corrective maintenance on physical plant equipment such as HVAC systems, electrical and plumbing systems, high- and low-pressure oil-fired water and steam boilers, and water heating systemsTest equipment using safety analyzer, volt meters, ohm meters, amp meters and special hand toolsInspect, calibrate, adjust, clean, and lubricate mechanical and electrical controls, valves, gauges, timing devices and meters. Report equipment and structural problems beyond own skill level, needed equipment or supplies to immediate supervisorProvide installation and repair services on complex, major systems throughout the facility as indicated by appropriate logs and work ordersTrain and mentor junior-level engineers and technicians on complex preventive maintenance and repair workLead must perform critical infrastructure tasks and fill in leadership functions when the Manager of Facilities is unavailable, and conduct training on semi and annual preventative maintenance for penthouse equipmentPerform other duties as assignedPersonal Traits:All Norton Sound Health Corporation employees are expected to consistently demonstrate the organization's values: integrity, cultural sensitivity and respect for traditional values, continual learning and improving, compassion, teamwork and pride.
