This temp-to-hire opportunity is ideal for an experienced training professional with a healthcare or pharmacy background who is passionate about employee development, onboarding, and performance improvement. The Training Specialist will partner with leadership and subject matter experts to develop, facilitate, and maintain training programs that support organizational goals and employee success. Responsibilities
- Conduct training needs assessments with department leaders to identify knowledge gaps and prioritize learning initiatives.
- Design, develop, and deliver onboarding and role-specific training programs for employees across multiple business units.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts and team leaders to create and maintain training materials, work instructions, job aids, PowerPoint presentations, eLearning modules, and other learning resources.
- Facilitate both virtual and in-person training sessions using various instructional methods, including classroom instruction, group discussions, simulations, and hands-on training.
- Maintain accurate training records, attendance documentation, and learning outcome reports.
- Develop a thorough understanding of company programs, products, workflows, technologies, and operational processes.
- Support the implementation of new workflows, technologies, and organizational initiatives through targeted training programs.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on operational procedures and performance expectations.
- Partner with managers and quality improvement teams to address performance gaps and enhance employee knowledge and effectiveness.
- Travel occasionally to company locations, pharmacies, clinics, or offsite facilities as needed.
- Stay current on adult learning principles, training methodologies, and industry best practices.
- Maintain knowledge of healthcare accreditation and quality standards, including CMS, HEDIS, and health plan requirements.
- Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician or in a related healthcare environment strongly preferred.
- Active Pharmacy Technician license required or ability to obtain within 90 days of employment.
- Strong presentation, facilitation, and public speaking skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Experience developing training materials and translating complex processes into learner-friendly content.
- Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) preferred.
- Strong organizational, project management, and time-management skills.
- Ability to engage effectively with employees at all levels and adapt to different learning styles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook.
