About the Position

Job Opportunity – Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse – Alaska

Start Date: Early December 2026

Location: Alaska

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Three 12-hour shifts per week, variable schedule with weekend coverage required. Guaranteed 60 hours per two-week period. Willingness to float within scope to meet facility needs is required.

• Work in a Level IV Trauma, Critical Access Hospital with 46 acute care beds and 22 long-term care beds
• Epic charting system in a modern acute care medical center environment
• Facility-provided housing during assignment (1-bedroom apartment, 72 hours pre-start through 24 hours post-contract)

• First-time travelers welcome with at least 1 year of Labor & Delivery experience
• Holiday commitment required: must work 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)

Requirements:

• Active, compact RN license (must be in hand at submission)
• Minimum 1 year of Labor & Delivery nursing experience
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility (local candidates not accepted)
• Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
• Clean background check (facility does not accept Nursys or background hits)
• Ability to float to sister facilities as needed
