Job Description & Requirements Specialty: OR - Operating Room Discipline: RN Start Date: 06/01/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 8 hours Employment Type: Travel RN - Operating Room/Surgery- Travel: Lake Charles, LA 13 weeks DAYS/SHIFT- Schedule: 6:30AM-3:00PM but could be asked to work until 3:30 Monday-Friday Types of patients/cases: ENT (pediatric and mostly geriatric and bariatric), urology, gynecology, general and some smaller ortho cases (shoulder, knee and hip) This need is only temporary ASAP START Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications REQUIRED: BLS required via AHA ACLS required via AHA PALS required via AHA RN License in state of employment or compact Candidate must be experienced and ready to work on day 1. TRAVELERS MUST HAVE- circulator experience. Weekend Requirement : Potentially call on the weekend On Call Requirement : 1-2 times per week and potentially on the weekend Floating Requirement / Locations : Only needed in OR, but could be asked to go to St. Patricks OR but it is only 5 minutes away Nurse / Patient Ratio : 1:1 Summary: ThecompetentNurse,inthesameorsimilarclinicalsetting,practicesindependentlyanddemonstratesanawarenessofallrelevantaspectsofasituation.Providesroutineandcomplexcare,withtheabilitytoonlong-rangegoalsorplans.Continuestodeveloptheabilitytocopewithandmanagecontingenciesofclinicalnursing.Makesappropriateassignmentsanddelegatestoothercareprovidersasameanstohelpmanagetheclinicalsituation.
