About the Role
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) will be tasked with the strategic leadership and governance of the organization, partnering with the Board to refine and execute the strategic direction. This includes translating priorities into actionable plans, serving as the principal advisor to the Board, and ensuring alignment across all key stakeholder groups. The CEO will also be responsible for financial leadership, driving revenue diversification, and overseeing budgeting and financial planning. Membership and market growth are key focus areas, with an emphasis on expanding and deepening membership, strengthening retention, and enhancing the value proposition to meet evolving professional and organizational needs. The successful candidate will be a proven leader with a minimum of 10 years' experience in a senior-level position, demonstrating a track record of success in leading and growing a membership-based or professional organization. Essential skills include the ability to drive revenue growth, build partnerships, and lead small teams. The role requires a strategic thinker with a collaborative and inclusive leadership style, capable of balancing big-picture thinking with disciplined execution. Personal qualities should include being a credible, engaging, and visible leader, with strong presentation and communication skills, and the ability to inspire followership. The CEO must be adaptable, forward-thinking, and committed to preserving the organization's distinctive culture while positioning it for future growth.
