Job Summary The Psychotherapist 2 will provide psychotherapy and counseling to individuals and families, including group sessions. They assist in assessing the psychotherapeutic needs of referred patients. This position will develop and implement strategies for patient care, including new care models. It will foster key relationships to improve quality care and patient satisfaction. The role oversees the Embedding Mental Health Program. Essential Functions Of The Role Develops and monitors Psychotherapy metrics and goals, aligning them with system goals across the region. Serves as the lead Psychotherapist, assisting with daily operations, staffing, and program development through mentoring, counseling, and training personnel. Oversees interns for the Psychotherapy clinic and the Embedding Mental Health Program, serving as a resource and liaison. Reviews patient charts and notes to ensure standardized care. Reviews and evaluates senior staff orders and patient medical records. Performs diagnostic assessments to establish required psychotherapeutic treatment. Evaluates treatment efficiency and patient progress to help establish or revise treatment specifics. Performs all duties of a staff Psychotherapist by providing psychotherapy and counseling to patients and their families, including group modalities and using psychotherapeutic techniques consistent with the physician's prescriptions, directions, and goals. Provides emergency intervention and assessment as required. Utilizes proper tools and techniques to select and perform evaluation tests and measurements, leading to correct diagnosis and treatment while maintaining professional standards. Provides patient orientation on department policies for treatment, cancellations, and no-shows. Monitors patient cancellations and fills vacant appointment times from the cancellation list. Enforces the no-show policy with patients according to their station. Contributes to teaching activities as assigned. Maintains effective communication and coordinates with supervisors and other patient caregivers regarding patient care alternatives. Fulfills continuing education or certification requirements to maintain qualifications. Responsible for knowing and completing professional and technical requirements, providing necessary documentation. Key Success Factors Knowledge of psychotherapy and related tests, measures, and recovery techniques and practices. Knowledge of counseling and therapy techniques. Ability to interpret diagnostic interviews and test data. Ability to conduct singular and group psychotherapy. Ability to examine behavioral deficits. Ability to develop plans for implementing and monitoring rehabilitation activities, skill acquisition and behavior management. Demonstrated communications and problem‑solving skills. Demonstrated effectiveness in team development strategies. Demonstrated ability to evaluate and stabilize team and personal workloads through effective time management, prioritization and organizational skills.
