Mechanical Systems Engineer - Requirements and Verification Senior

As a Systems Engineer for Requirements and Verification on the FBM Life Extension 2 (LE2) program, you will develop and manage system level requirements, coordinate verification activities, organize expert evidence creation, facilitate subsystem reviews, and mentor early career staff. Responsibilities Develop, analyze, verify system level requirements and document & manage accordingly. Coordinate with customer and other contractors to implement verification analyses and tests. Organize/coordinate domain expert objective evidence creation and documentation. Organize/coordinate subsystem level technical reviews. Mentor the team and provide guidance to early career staff. Basic Qualifications Proficiency in Systems Engineering. Experience in Mechanical Engineering. Demonstrated capability in requirements and verification, including requirement engineering, requirements management and/or verification. Active Secret security clearance. Experience with generation of technical data products. Experience with DOORS or other requirement management tools. Desired Skills MS Office software including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and/or Project. Experience with, or on, the FBM program, working with the Navy, or submarine exposure is highly desired. Self-starter, able to complete work without appreciable direction. Highly effective communication skills, including ability to explain complex concepts, lead reviews, and/or negotiate requirements. Security Clearance Top Secret. This position requires a US citizenship and a government security clearance.
