Utility Custodian

Job Details Position Type: Maintenance/Custodial/ Custodian Date Posted: 3/31/2025 Location: Leman Middle School Date Available: ASAP Closing Date: until filled Reports To Building Principal and Director of Buildings and Grounds. Job Goal To provide a safe, clean, comfortable building for children, staff members and patrons. Qualifications Previous custodial or related experience. English/Spanish fluency preferred. Ability to interact positively with young children, parents, and staff. Willingness to adapt to interruptions. Ability to operate and maintain heating, plumbing, and ventilation systems. General knowledge of cleaning equipment and techniques. Ability to lift a minimum of 40 pounds. Performance Responsibilities Assumes responsibility for the appearance and function of assigned building and grounds. Completes cleaning schedule for the areas assigned within the frequency requirements provided, including, but not limited to, hallways, lounges, classrooms, and restrooms Inspects and locks building before leaving for the day. Assists in the unloading and delivery of supplies and equipment being delivered. Transports trash and waste to dumpster site and maintains this disposal area. Regulates building temperatures, as specified. Attends departmental and training meetings. Works cooperatively with the Head Custodian and Supervisor of Buildings and Grounds.
