You'll gain invaluable insight into the daily operations of a successful veterinary hospital, all while sharpening your clinical and communication skills.What You'll Experience:One-on-one mentorship from seasoned Associate VeterinariansHands-on experience performing physical exams and gathering patient historiesDiagnostic workups, treatment plan creation, and case discussionsExposure to dentistry services and the opportunity to assist in surgical proceduresClient communication training and team collaboration opportunitiesProgram Highlights:Duration: minimum 2 weeks, up to 4 weeks (flexible based on student and hospital schedules)Eligibility: veterinary studentsStipend: $1,000 for students in their clinical years to assist with travel/living expensesJoin us at Shady Brook Animal Hospital and experience a supportive, engaging externship that prepares you for success as a future veterinarian.
