Location Camden - 1000 Atlantic Avenue Remote Type On‑Site Employment Type Employee Employment Classification Regular Time Type Part time Work Shift 2nd Shift (United States of America) Total Weekly Hours 17 Schedule Every other Saturday/Sunday/Friday 3 p‑9 p and Every Wednesday 3 p‑9 p Summary Gathers and enters patient demographic information into the hospital information system. Verifies benefits, obtains required authorization. Obtains co‑pays, deductibles, co‑insurance and deposit amounts. Performs accurate and thorough registrations. Is compliant with regulatory guidelines. Acts as first contact representative of Virtua by providing excellent customer service. Position Responsibilities Obtain copies of patient insurance cards and identification and enter demographic, financial, insurance and clinical information into computer system; verify completeness and accuracy of all data. Obtain signatures on all required documents for consent, medical necessity, and required State, Federal and regulatory documentation. Process all necessary paperwork. Correctly identify, collect and process co‑pays, deductibles, co‑insurance and deposits from patients and may facilitate resolution of billing issues by liaising with patient accounting and insurance representatives. Identify and provide appropriate referrals and payment options to patients needing financial assistance. Provide additional office support including telephones, scheduling, typing, filing, etc. Position Qualifications 1 year customer service in a professional setting (excluding retail/food service) preferred; medical office or admission experience preferred. Positive demeanor, strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to handle potentially stressful situations and multiple tasks. Basic typing, computer and/or word processing skills. High School diploma. One year of Epic system experience highly preferred. Hourly Rate $18.69 - $26.01 (actual rate varies based on experience and internal equity).
