Job Description & Requirements Position: Travel Nurse RN – Progressive Care Unit (PCU) in Winston Salem, North Carolina. Responsibilities include monitoring cardiac and other vital signs, detecting changes to enable timely interventions, administering complex medications (including titration), and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams. PCU nurses are also called Step‑Down nurses and may be assigned to cardiac, medical, neuro, surgical, or ER holding step‑down units. Monitor and assess patients who aren't unstable enough to need ICU care. Utilize computer equipment to monitor cardiac and other vital information and detect changes, enabling intervention of life‑threatening or emergency situations.
