Registered Nurse — OR Circulator for a travel assignment in Bakersfield, California. Responsibilities
- Deliver direct intraoperative nursing care as the OR Circulator, following established standards of care and the nursing process
- Prepare the operating room, position the patient, maintain sterile technique, and manage instrument and sponge counts
- Monitor patient status during procedures and respond to intraoperative events; document nursing care accurately
- Coordinate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and other team members to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes
- Supervise and direct activities of nursing staff in the OR under policy, applying critical thinking and independent judgment
- Support continuous communication and handoffs with the broader perioperative team to maintain a smooth workflow

Requirements
- Active, unrestricted California RN license
- OR Circulator experience or OR nursing experience (1+ year preferred)
- Nursing degree from an accredited program (ASN or BSN)
- BLS certification (American Heart Association)
- Ability to work 10-hour day shifts in an OR setting and meet the start date
- Willingness to comply with health and facility policies and credentialing requirements
