Abdominal Transplant Surgeon | Liver & Intestinal Transplantation | Academic Faculty Opportunity

Indiana University School of Medicine Division of Abdominal Transplantation and Indiana University Health Physicians are actively recruiting a full‑time abdominal transplant surgeon focused on liver and intestine transplant to join the faculty at the assistant, associate, or professor level. In this role you will have the opportunity to work with a collaborative group of surgeons and APPs providing exceptional surgical care within the Indianapolis area. The main objective of this recruitment is to support a well‑established abdominal transplant surgery division. IU Health is ranked in the top 10 nationally, with 3rd place in pancreas transplant volume, 5th in intestine transplant volume, and 5th in liver transplant volume. One or more of the following skills are desirable: living donor liver transplantation, minimally invasive donor hepatectomy, liver perfusion, normothermic regional perfusion, or robotic surgery. Clinical duties will include transplant surgeries, procurements, and other related procedures. In addition, clinical teaching is the mainstay of educational duties, with opportunities to interact with medical students, surgical residents, and fellows in the office, inpatient, and OR settings. This role is also expected to participate in research and scholarship activities supporting the division and your professional growth.
