Key Responsibilities * Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess patients' physical conditions by reviewing medical histories and performing detailed assessments to formulate effective treatment plans. * Communicate evaluation results and treatment plans clearly to patients and their families, involving them in goal-setting for their rehabilitation journey. * Implement evidence-based treatment protocols tailored to each patient'sunique needs, adjusting as necessary for optimal recovery outcomes. * Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care, recognizing and documenting any changes in patients' conditions that may necessitate updates to care plans. * Participate actively in discharge planning and ensure accurate documentation of patient care activities, which includes comprehensive notes on initial evaluations, progress summaries, and discharge evaluations. * Manage schedules effectively, demonstrate accountability for productivity standards, and actively take part in marketing initiatives that enhance patient access and experience. * Engage with ongoing professional development activities and contribute to departmental objectives and compliance with regulatory standards. * Foster a supportive environment for patients, focusing on patient engagement and satisfaction through flexible and adaptable treatment methodologies. Patient Population / Client Focus Our physical therapists work with a varied patient population, including individuals recovering from surgery, accidents, and chronic ailments. Qualifications * Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution. * Active state licensure as a Physical Therapist or eligibility for licensure in Virginia is required. * Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers from the American Heart Association is mandatory. Preferred Experience While prior work experience in a similar setting is valued, it is not a strict requirement for applicants.
