Job Title: Turret Operator Job Description

This role is a second-shift turret operator position in an industrial manufacturing environment. You will work with CNC laser, turret, punch press, or press brake equipment to produce high-quality parts, independently set up machines, and interpret blueprints to complete production tasks accurately and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Set up CNC machines, including turret punch, punch press, laser, or press brake equipment, independently and accurately.

• Interpret and read blueprints to determine specifications, dimensions, and tolerances for each job.

• Operate turret and related CNC equipment to produce parts that meet quality and safety standards.

• Monitor machine operations, make necessary adjustments, and ensure efficient, continuous production.

• Inspect finished parts to verify they meet blueprint specifications and quality requirements.

• Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while meeting tight deadlines and production schedules.

• Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area.

• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to prioritize work and meet shift goals.

• Be flexible with overtime requirements to support production needs across set shifts.

Essential Skills

• Hands-on experience operating CNC laser, turret, punch press, or press brake equipment.

• Proven ability to autonomously set up CNC machines and production equipment.

• Strong blueprint reading skills, including interpreting dimensions, tolerances, and fabrication requirements.

• Comfort working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with tight deadlines.

• Willingness and flexibility to work overtime as needed to meet production demands.

• Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality, accurate parts.

• Ability to follow safety protocols and standard operating procedures in an industrial setting.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in industrial manufacturing or metal fabrication environments.

• Ability to troubleshoot basic machine issues and make minor adjustments.

• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple jobs and priorities within a shift.

Work Environment

The role is based in an industrial manufacturing facility, with this area of the plant being climate controlled for comfort and consistent working conditions. You will work on CNC laser, turret, punch press, and press brake equipment in a production setting. Shifts are structured as follows: 1st shift from 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., 2nd shift from 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., and 3rd shift from 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. The environment is fast paced, with tight deadlines and regular overtime opportunities to support production demands, while maintaining a focus on safety and efficiency.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Raleigh, NC.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $28.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
