Position Details
- Standard Work Hours: 8.0 hours/day
- Shift Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
- Assignment Duration: Temporary Contract (Estimated 2 – 3 months)
Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist for a temporary 2-to-3-month assignment. This role is responsible for supporting core payroll processing, timecard verification, and ensuring certified payroll and prevailing wage compliance for public works projects.
Core Responsibilities
- Process payroll efficiently and conduct accurate timecard reviews.
- Prepare and submit certified payroll reports in accordance with state and federal standards.
- Maintain compliance with prevailing wage guidelines and Department of Industrial Relations (DIR) regulations for public works projects.
- Utilize specialized payroll and compliance platforms to maintain accurate documentation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Payroll & Compliance: Experience with certified payroll reporting, prevailing wage requirements, and public works compliance.
- Technical Skills: Familiarity with compliance software (such as LCPtracker, Elations, or similar platforms) is a plus.
- Core Competencies: Strong organizational skills, keen attention to detail, and reliable time management abilities.
