Description

American Traveler is hiring a skilled RN for a Home Health position requiring OASIS experience, infusion skills, and the ability to conduct 6-8 patient visits per day in the Tampa, FL area.

Details

• Skilled home health setting serving Medicare, Medicare Advantage, and commercial insurance patients
• 6-8 home visits per day, self-scheduled based on the needs of the HomeCare office
• Patient population includes cardiopulmonary, post-op, and high-risk diagnoses such as heart failure, COPD, MI, pneumonia, and stroke
• Clinical procedures include cardiopulmonary assessment, basic and advanced wound care, ABI compression dressing, wound vac dressing, Pleurx/AsepDrain care, Foley catheter changes, staple/suture removal, glucometer and pro-time machine use, SQ/IM injections, lab draw/venipuncture, IV skills, and PICC line/Midline care and dressing changes
• Shift hours vary based on office needs: Mon–Fri 8a–5p or 9a–6p, or Thurs–Mon / Fri–Tues rotations
• Alternating weekend shifts required
• Charting via BayCare Forms, BayCare Scheduling, and ACE Timesheet documentation system
• Equipment provided includes a laptop, MiFi for internet access, and a portable printer

Requirements

• Active FL or compact RN license required
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
• Skilled home health experience required — private duty nursing experience alone will not be accepted
• OASIS training and hands-on experience required
• Infusion/IV experience required
• Wound care experience required
• Valid driver's license and personal vehicle required to conduct home visits
• COVID vaccination required, or exemption form on file
• Flu shot required; declination accepted with mandatory masking at all times while on duty

Additional Information

• Responsible for conducting skilled home visits across a varied patient caseload with complex and high-risk diagnoses
• 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
• State Board of Nursing license verification and NURSYS verification required for consideration
• Solid color scrubs required
• Schedule is self-managed based on daily HomeCare office needs
