Job Description
Title
Registered Nurse - Correctional Health

Schedule
- 12-hour shifts
- Must work 2 of 3 holiday bundles (Thanksgiving + day after; Christmas Eve + Christmas Day; New Year's Eve + New Year's Day)

Assignment Details
- Contract Length: 10 weeks
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week

Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of RN experience
- Corrections experience preferred; if no corrections experience, must have 1 year of ED experience or 2 years of Med/Surg experience in a large facility
- Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, MOAB (MOAB training provided during first week; must pass)
- Flu vaccine required; COVID-19 vaccine documentation or declination required

Roles & Responsibilities
- Triage and assess new admissions
- Conduct detox rounds and provide routine and emergency care
- Make referrals to medical, mental health, and dental services
- Manage urgent care and sick calls in designated units
- Float between Detox, Medical Intake, and Behavioral Health units

Compliance / Notes
- Background check required
- Drug screen required within 30 days of start
- Documentation required to begin compliance within 1-2 weeks of signing; documents due 10 days prior to start
- No local candidates within 100-mile radius; non-local driver's license required on file
- RTO not allowed during first 7 days or on last day of contract; RTO greater than 7 days requires approval
