Field Trainer for Habilitation Services (Central PHX)

Position Summary AZA United (Arizona Autism United) is a nonprofit service organization that supports children and families affected by autism in Maricopa County. As the organization expands, we are hiring a Field Trainer for Habilitation Services to help the HCBS/DSS department match, monitor, and train habilitation, respite, and attendant care providers while also assisting families with service‑related needs. Key Qualifications High School diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree or equivalent work experience preferred. At least one year of experience providing home‑based habilitation for multiple children or youth with autism, preferably with more than one family. Proof of valid insurance, registration, and reliable transportation to client homes throughout Phoenix/Maricopa County. Strong communication skills, the ability to work with diverse populations, and excellent multi‑tasking and organizational skills. High competence in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Teams, etc.). Knowledge of habilitation, autism spectrum disorders, and related systems of care is preferred. Must successfully pass a fingerprint clearance check, tuberculosis screening, and other hiring requirements. Ability to respond positively to child behaviors to improve behavior and maximize independent functioning, in line with family values and AZA United guidance. Availability Monday‑Friday, 2:00 p.m.‑6:00 p.m. with flexible scheduling. Bilingual or Spanish speaking is a plus. Responsibilities Conduct home visits to provide hands‑on training and guidance to habilitation, respite, and attendant care providers. Assist providers in implementing goals, establishing routines, working with families, completing reports, and delivering effective services. Offer additional support through phone, email, or virtual meetings as needed. Deliver presentations for new employee orientation and related training sessions. Help providers with teaching materials for habilitation goals. Assist families in writing functional outcomes, teaching strategies, and preparing for ISP meetings with DDD. Support families via phone, email, or home visits to ensure effective service delivery. Conduct in‑home quarterly monitoring visits to maintain compliance with attendant care service requirements. Manage administrative tasks and systems to coordinate habilitation and respite services. Maintain data entry for client goals, ISPs, reports, and related information. Communicate with DDD support coordinators to facilitate services for families and providers. Assist with incident reporting and related procedures.
