Full-Time Retail Sales Associate $10.00 to $14.00 per hour. We offer an easily achievable commission structure that pays you for every transaction you process. Our retail sales associates can earn up to 8% on transactions, averaging an additional $1.74 per hour on top of the hourly rate. Most stores open at 9 AM and close at 6 PM; many stores are closed on Sundays. Earned Wage Access program available to all employees on the second day of employment. Vacation: Employees are granted one week of paid vacation after completing six months of active, full-time service. Sick/Personal: Eligible employees are granted 8 hours (after 6 months) to be used before the first anniversary and 16 hours each subsequent anniversary (years 2-5) (subject to state/local requirements). 24 hours after five years. Access to the FirstCash Pet Insurance program. Position Summary We are seeking entry-level, full-time sales associates in our pawn store locations nationwide. The Pawnbroker/Retail Sales Associate partners with the entire staff to ensure customer service on both the lending and retail sides. A Pawnbroker/Retail Sales Associate greets, engages, and interacts with customers in a positive and professional manner to process sales, loans, and other transactions. They thrive on engaging with customers and assisting with inquiries and problem resolution. The associate works with a wide variety of jewelry and general merchandise, including tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations), and more. The full-time Pawnbroker/Retail Sales Associate position offers an hourly wage, plus employees earn commission based on productivity. Pay will vary based on location, qualifications, and experience. Responsibilities Greets and interacts with all customers to develop rapport and recommend appropriate financial solutions. Performs non-management open/close procedures. Maintains a clean, stocked sales floor and displays merchandise. Performs sales and loan transactions in accordance with established policies, procedures, practices, and regulatory requirements. Handles cash and negotiable items per established policies and regulatory requirements. Answers incoming calls according to company standards. Effectively communicates the legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers. Communicates effectively with coworkers and managers, displaying respect and using effective communication tools. Partners with all employees to create a positive and memorable customer experience. Successfully completes assigned training. Performs other related duties as assigned. Minimum Requirements & Qualifications Must be willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds. Must be willing and able to perform duties and tasks for extended periods of time, including standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting. Ability to work with firearms and to become firearms certified. May be asked to assist a customer on the exterior of the building or retrieve products stored in exterior storage. Minimum age: 18 years old. High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience. Strong desire to work, serve customers, work with people, and be team-oriented. Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Ability to perform basic math calculations proficiently. Cash handling experience is preferred. Ability to work in multiple locations as business needs dictate. Must be able to work a flexible retail schedule based on business needs, including weekends and holidays. Commission Plan Information The employee commission incentive plan is proprietary to FirstCash. Pawnbrokers can earn 2-8% commission based on the gross profit of their personal performance.
