Description ConnectUs is seeking a dynamic, systems-driven Shipping Lead to elevate our warehouse operations to the next level of speed, accuracy, and scalability. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, technology-enabled environment , brings a continuous improvement mindset , and leads by example on the warehouse floor. As the Shipping Lead , you’ll be responsible for ensuring flawless outbound execution — every device, every order, every time. You will coordinate across departments, drive lean workflows, optimize shipping throughput, and lead a growing team to meet aggressive performance and quality goals. This position requires precision, accountability, and leadership under pressure. The ideal candidate brings an operational mindset focused on systems, metrics, and people — someone who can balance urgency with quality, and who takes pride in “making the chaos look easy.” Key Responsibilities Lead Daily Shipping Operations: Oversee all outbound logistics, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to customer SLAs. Drive Lean & Continuous Improvement: Implement and refine lean methodologies to eliminate waste, streamline workflows, and increase throughput. Be Systems-Driven: Operate and optimize within shipping and order management software (e.g., OrderTime, ShipStation), ensuring all orders flow seamlessly across departments. Monitor Key Metrics: Track and analyze KPIs such as on-time shipment rate, error rate, throughput per hour, and scan-to-ship time to identify trends and improvement opportunities. Champion Technology Adoption: Leverage tools, macros, and automation to reduce manual touchpoints and improve speed and accuracy. Ensure Data Accuracy: Double-check IMEIs, serials, and labels; maintain shipment traceability and documentation integrity. Coach & Lead the Team: Train, motivate, and hold team members accountable for hitting daily goals while maintaining high morale and discipline. Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work with Purchasing, Receiving, Tech Zone, and Operations to maintain smooth order flow and proactively resolve bottlenecks. Maintain Compliance: Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and industry standards; champion a clean, organized, and safe workspace. Customer-First Mindset: Understand that each shipment impacts a real user — take ownership of ensuring a “zero-friction” customer experience. Customer-first mentality 5+ years of experience in a warehouse environment Minimum of 3 years experience in a leadership role within shipping or logistics. Proven track record of implementing successful process improvement initiatives. Proficient in logistics and inventory software systems. (ShipStation experience is a plus) Proven knowledge of warehouse organization and workflow.
