Job Title: Line Attendant

Job Description

Join our dynamic team as a Line Attendant, where you will assist machine operators in processing cheese. Your role involves loading cheese blocks onto conveyors, ensuring they are properly shredded, and packaging the final product. This position requires consistent lifting and adherence to safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Lift and load cheese blocks onto conveyors and tables throughout the day.
• Perform visual inspections to ensure cheese is free of plastic before shredding.
• Use sharp tools to remove any remaining plastic from cheese blocks.
• Bag shredded cheese into proper portions and attach labels as necessary.
• Comply with GMP standards, wearing protective gear such as hair nets, beard nets, smocks, and steel-toed shoes.
• Maintain a smoke-free environment on campus.

Essential Skills

• Experience in production, general labor, or packaging for at least two years.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs consistently.
• Familiarity with general production and loading tasks.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Consistent work history in labor-intensive roles with repetitive tasks.
• Preferred experience in a GMP environment.
• At least one year of experience in packaging, production, or warehouse roles involving moving packages or loading and unloading boxes.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of South Milwaukee, WI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00/hr.
