Project Specialist Fountain Valley, CA, US 3 days ago Requisition ID: 1983 Salary: $72,500.00 Annually Position Summary The Project Specialist is responsible for coordinating and supporting telecommunications projects throughout the project lifecycle, from project award through customer invoicing and closeout. This position works closely with Site Acquisition, Construction Management, Engineering, Finance, and customers to ensure project documentation, schedules, billing, reporting, and customer deliverables are completed accurately and on time. The Project Specialist serves as an administrative and operational resource to Project Managers and Site Acquisition Managers, helping ensure projects remain organized, financially accurate, and on schedule while maintainingexceptional customer service. Primary Responsibilities Project Coordination Support Site Acquisition Managers and Construction Managers throughout the project lifecycle. Coordinate project startup activities following project award or Notice to Proceed (NTP). Monitor schedules, milestones, and deliverables. Maintain project documentation within internal and customer systems. Prepare customer reports and project updates. Coordinate communication between departments and customers. Site Acquisition Support Track leasing, zoning, permitting, easements, utility coordination, and regulatory milestones. Maintain project trackers and customer databases. Support document collection, quality control, and closeout documentation. Construction Management Support Coordinate project turnover from Site Acquisition to Construction. Assist with scheduling construction activities and tracking field progress. Collect closeout documentation and customer acceptance packages. Support change order tracking and project financial tracking. Billing & Financial Administration Prepare billing packages upon milestone completion. Verify documentation prior to invoicing. Submit invoices through customer billing systems. Resolve billing discrepancies and track unbilled completed work. Assist with revenue forecasting and billing reports. Reporting & Administration Maintain project databases. Generate weekly and monthly reports. Update KPIs and dashboards. Support audits and maintain accurate electronic project files. Required Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred. 2–5 years of telecommunications project coordination experience. Experience supporting Site Acquisition, Construction Management, Project Management, or Engineering. Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel. Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills.
