Job Title: Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Registered Nurse (MS/Tele)

Shift: Days
Schedule: 3 x 12-hour shifts, 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM (36 or 48 hours/week)

Contract Length: 13 weeks
Guaranteed Hours: 48 hours/week (for 4x12 schedule option)

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg experience
• First-time travelers accepted with at least 3 years of RN experience
• Current BLS certification
• Previous travel experience required
• Strong post-surgical, orthopedic, and neuro experience
• Experience with total joint replacements, fractures, and ERAS (Enhanced Recovery After Surgery) protocols preferred
• Epic experience preferred
• MO or Compact RN license required (pending MO license accepted; IL license must be in hand)

Job Summary:
Seeking an experienced Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Registered Nurse to care for adult and geriatric patients with a variety of medical and post-surgical conditions. Responsibilities include managing orthopedic, neuro, vascular, abdominal surgery, sepsis, COPD, renal, diabetic, and wound care patients while maintaining a 1:5–6 nurse-to-patient ratio. Candidates must be comfortable floating to other Med/Surg units and affiliated hospitals as needed, participating in on-call rotation, and working every other weekend. Strong clinical assessment, post-operative care, and collaboration skills are essential in this Magnet-designated acute care hospital.
