Phlebotomist

Overview Labcorp is a global leader in laboratory services. This role is based in Cameron, TX (76520). Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm (additional hours / rotating Saturdays may be required). Responsibilities Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups. Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc. Perform data entry of patient information accurately and in a timely manner. Process billing information and collect payments when required. Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis. Maintain patient and specimen information logs. Provide superior customer service to all patients. Administrative and clerical duties as necessary. Travel to additional sites when needed. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Preferred Qualifications: 2+ years of phlebotomy experience in a clinical/hospital environment. Current or prior LabCorp experience. In lieu of work experience, a phlebotomy certification or completed training program from an accredited agency. Able to pass a standardized color blindness test. Flexibility to work overtime as needed. Ability to work in a fast-paced/high-volume environment. Exceptional customer service and strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
