Are you ready to join a team that dreams as big as you do?LOCATION: Metal Container Corporation in Newburgh, NY.SALARY:$37.96-$42.78 per hour for the first 8 hours of a shift.$56.94-$64.17 per hour for the next 4.25 hours at 1.5x base rate.Pay increases after completion of certifications and licenses. Are you ready to join a team that dreams as big as you do?Role SummaryOur Industrial Electrician is responsible for installing, programming, troubleshooting, and maintaining automated industrial control systems, bridging electrical wiring with software logic. You will ensure maximum uptime of machinery by diagnosing failures, updating PLC/HMI programs, and repairing electrical components like sensors, drives, and motorsJob ResponsibilitiesTroubleshoot, maintain, and repair for 480-volt, 3 phase systems, and minimizing downtime will be necessary.Support, troubleshoot, improve, and maintain high-speed production and packaging machinery.Responsible for programmable controllers and computer process controls.Analyze plant-wide electrical process data to make decisions on equipment maintenance and process improvement activitiesAdhere to plant safety and sanitation requirements; complete assigned work safely and efficiently per the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's)Assist with process improvement initiatives utilizing Lean methodology including root cause analysis, process flow maps, etc.Clearly document and communicate maintenance and quality events using computer reporting systemsCross-training opportunities available to maximize your earnings and expand your technical knowledgeJob QualificationsHigh School Diploma or GED requiredElectrical experience required including:High-speed manufacturing or industrial experienceVFD experienceAllen Bradley PLC5 programming and troubleshootingAbility to comprehend electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic prints with pneumatic and hydraulic process knowledgeKnowledge of safety policies and procedures (e.g. lock out /tag out, confined space entry, etc.)Strong interpersonal and communication skillsThe ability to work effectively in a team environment with people of varying skills and backgroundsMust be able to continuously stand, bend, and twist.
