The Opportunity Join a respected industry leader specializing in open-shop commercial projects ranging from tenant fit-outs to large-scale interior/exterior packages. As an Estimator, you will play a critical role in the company's continued success, handling diverse bids for metal framing, drywall, and specialty exterior systems. What You'll Do Accurate Estimating: Prepare competitive bids for projects ranging from small-scale renovations to comprehensive interior/exterior packages. Technical Proficiency: Perform detailed digital takeoffs for metal stud framing, drywall, sheathing, and vapor barriers. Project Collaboration: Support Project Managers on large bulletins, addenda, and change orders to ensure financial precision. Business Development: Attend scope reviews and proactively pursue work; this role requires a professional who can "sell" the firm’s capabilities to GCs, not just crunch numbers. Digital Mastery: Utilize On-Screen Takeoff (OST) and Quick Bid to produce high‑level cost analyses. What We're Looking For Experience: 5–12+ years of commercial drywall estimating experience. Market Knowledge: Preference for candidates with experience in the local Connecticut/Hartford market. Software Skills: Mastery of On-Center Software (OST & Quick Bid) is required. Stability: A proven track record of career longevity and professional reliability. Drive: A self‑motivated, detail‑oriented individual who is persistent with follow‑ups and ambitious enough to grow into future leadership.
