Executive Vice President and Provost

The client invites nominations and applications for the Executive Vice President and Provost (“provost”) position. The provost serves as the chief academic officer for the client’s full range of academic programs, including domestic and international offerings, and will oversee the wind-down of the client’s international studies institute. The role is grounded in the client’s mission to develop thoughtful, ethical, and globally informed leaders educated in the liberal arts and prepared to address complex global challenges. Joining at a pivotal time, the provost will partner closely with the president to help execute a refreshed strategic direction for the client, bringing organizational clarity to academic affairs alongside the commencement of a new strategic planning process. The provost will also act as a key financial steward of the client’s significant resources, supporting institutional priorities through effective oversight and leadership of academic enterprise and related academic operations. The client is seeking an outstanding leader, scholar, and administrator who is collaborative, consensus-building, and energized to shape the client’s future through implementation of the new strategic plan. The provost will inspire and lead a dedicated community supporting undergraduate and graduate education, champion student and faculty success, protect academic freedom, and promote constructive dialogue across differences while strengthening the client’s impact as an engine for societal good.
