How You'll Make an Impact in This Role

• Provide patient care: Conduct comprehensive pre- and post-operative nutritional assessments, monitor nutrition status and manage individualized care plans for long-term bariatric success.
• Manage the care continuum: Provide comprehensive pre- and post-operative nutritional counselingfocusing on diet progression, supplementation, and long-term habitswhile continuously monitoring patient progress to adjust individualized care plans.
• Lead patient education: Empower individuals by facilitating bariatric education classes, hosting support groups, and teaching mindful eating and sustainable behavior modification.
• Collaborate and document: Partner closely with surgeons and multidisciplinary care teams while ensuring accurate, compliant medical record (EMR) documentation and accreditation compliance.

What Minimum Requirements You'll Need

• Licensure / Certification / Registration: Registered Dietitian/Nutritionist credentialed from the Commission on Dietetic Registration obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education:

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required

• Experience working with cardiac patients
