This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and families in the Bellevue, WA area. Responsibilities:
- Provide attentive, individualized care for children with Autism, ADHD, and other special needs
- Implement structured routines and behavioral strategies to support daily development
- Assist with therapy-based activities, sensory play, and educational exercises
- Communicate regularly with parents and caregivers regarding child progress and daily activities
- Manage challenging behaviors with patience, empathy, and positive reinforcement techniques
- Support children with daily living skills including meals, hygiene, and transitions
- Coordinate and accompany children to appointments, therapies, or extracurricular activities as needed
Requirements:
- W2 Employment
- Prior experience working with children with Autism, ADHD, or other developmental/special needs
- Familiarity with ABA therapy, sensory processing strategies, or IEP support is a strong plus
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Patient, nurturing, and adaptable demeanor with a genuine passion for special needs care
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with parents and care teams
- Reliable transportation and valid driver's license preferred
