Pain Management Physician OpportunityLifekind Health is looking for full-time Pain Management Physicians with emphasis on intervention with all advanced therapies to join our team. We welcome compassionate Internist, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Physician, Addiction Physician, Family Medicine Physician, or Internal Medicine Physicians with an interest in pain management with a bio-psycho-social approach to join our rapidly growing practice. We provide efficient clinical support with hands-on training and mentoring, especially for new graduates. Our medical teams include multiple advanced practitioners to support physicians with patient volume and injection referrals. Our team of medical doctors, psychologists, chiropractors, acupuncturists, and dietitians work together within a revolutionary transdisciplinary model that addresses the quadruple aim of healthcare: enhancing patient experience, improving patient health, reducing healthcare costs, and increasing employee satisfaction.Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm with rotating weekends; on-call weekendsLocation: Rancho Mirage, San Jacinto, or Victorville, CA - must be open to float to any of our 8 clinicsAbout the position:Conduct full and complete physical examinations of patients; gathering medical histories and records, identifying data, assessing chief complaints, illnesses, previous medical or family histories and or psycho-social characteristicsInterpret and integrate data to determine diagnosis and therapeutic planCollaborate with other physicians in managing acute and long-term medical needs of patientUnderstand the full range of standard intervention pain proceduresExamine patients to determine discomfort level and cause of painDetermine abnormal conditions by administering or ordering diagnostic tests, such as x-rays, electrocardiograms and laboratory studiesDiagnose and treat diseases, disorders and injuries based upon a patient's medical history and results of their physical assessment to determine extent of pain, help diagnose conditions, or manage overall painInstruct and counsel patients regarding procedures performed; always promote wellness and health maintenanceMaintain a positive attitude, be compassionate and have great communication and problem-solving skillsProvide relief from acute or chronic pain through medications, nerve blocks, electrical stimulation, or other advanced interventional techniquesCoordinate additional patient care such as; physical therapy, psychological therapy, and rehabilitation programs to offer patients a comprehensive plan with a multidisciplinary approach to the treatment of their painSupervise up to three Nurse Practitioners/Physician AssistantsProvide in-service training to nurse practitioners and physician assistants to ensure those providers are accomplishing assigned job responsibilities and identifying candidates for interventional proceduresCare for a medically complex and emotionally challenging patient population that requires compassion, empathy, and the ability to deescalate and appropriately react to unacceptable behavior in individual and group settingsMaintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulationsProtect patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocolsComply with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating future legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actionsUphold the company's mission, vision, and valuesOur Ideal Candidate will have the following qualifications:Graduate of an accredited School of Medicine and an accredited pain fellowship programActive, unrestricted medical license in the state of California; Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) requiredMust possess valid board certification as a MD or DOActive DEA registrationMust possess and maintain a current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certificationKnowledge of chronic disease management and population health principlesUnderstanding of Chronic Care Management (CCM) and Value-Based Care (VBC) modelsAbility to manage complex and high-risk patient populationsStrong clinical judgment and decision-making skillsEffective communication and collaboration within team-based care modelsProficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systemsAbility to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment (30+ patients per clinic day and 25+ procedures per procedure day)At Lifekind, we believe our employees deserve the best.
