Product Manager

Summary Murrelektronik is seeking an experienced and commercially minded Product Manager to join our team in Suwanee, GA. The Product Manager will be responsible for managing and growing assigned product lines throughout the product lifecycle—from market strategy and product introduction through commercial growth, optimization, and end-of-life planning. This role serves as a key connection point between product management, engineering, sales, marketing, operations, and customers, translating market needs and customer requirements into actionable product strategies and business opportunities. The ideal candidate combines strong product management expertise with a technical understanding of industrial automation and the ability to work effectively in a global manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities Develop and execute product strategies aligned with Murrelektronik’s overall business objectives and growth priorities. Own assigned product portfolios and manage products throughout their complete lifecycle. Conduct market, customer, and competitive analysis to identify growth opportunities and emerging trends. Define product positioning, value propositions, target markets, and differentiation strategies. Develop recommendations for new products, product enhancements, rationalization, and product discontinuation. Monitor product performance and establish appropriate business and financial objectives. Develop a strong understanding of customer needs, industry trends, applications, and competitive offerings. Partner with Sales and customers to identify opportunities and develop solutions that address market requirements. Participate in customer visits, industry events, trade shows, and other market-facing activities. Gather and analyze Voice of Customer (VOC) feedback and translate insights into product and portfolio priorities. Serve as a subject matter expert and internal resource for assigned products and markets. New Product Introduction Lead or support new product introduction (NPI) initiatives from concept through commercial launch. Develop product launch plans, timelines, positioning, pricing recommendations, and sales enablement materials. Collaborate with engineering and global product teams to ensure products meet market and customer requirements. Coordinate product launches across Sales, Marketing, Operations, Customer Service, and other internal stakeholders. Monitor launch performance and implement corrective actions when necessary. Pricing & Business Management Develop pricing strategies and recommendations based on market conditions, competitive positioning, costs, and customer value. Monitor product profitability, revenue, volume, and other key performance indicators. Identify opportunities to improve product margins and overall portfolio performance. Support annual planning, forecasting, and budgeting activities for assigned product lines. Analyze sales and market data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities. Cross-Functional & Global Collaboration Partner closely with Sales, Marketing, Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Customer Service, and Finance. Collaborate with Murrelektronik’s global product management and engineering organizations. Communicate product strategies, priorities, launches, and performance to internal stakeholders. Coordinate effectively across teams and geographic regions to drive product initiatives to completion. Help ensure product information, specifications, pricing, and positioning remain accurate and current. Develop product messaging, presentations, competitive comparisons, and sales tools in partnership with Marketing. Support sales training and product education. Provide Sales teams with the technical and commercial knowledge necessary to effectively position products. Support customer presentations and application discussions as needed. Develop content and materials that clearly communicate product value and differentiation. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related field. 5+ years of product management, product marketing, technical sales, engineering, or related experience, preferably within industrial automation, electrical components, manufacturing, or a related B2B environment. Experience managing products through multiple stages of the product lifecycle. Strong understanding of market analysis, competitive intelligence, pricing, and product strategy. Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally with technical and commercial teams. Strong analytical, project management, and problem-solving skills. Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills. Ability to understand and communicate technical product information to both technical and non-technical audiences. Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint. Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed. Preferred Qualifications Experience in industrial automation, electrical/electronic components, connectivity, control systems, or manufacturing technology. Experience working with globally distributed product management or engineering teams. MBA or advanced technical/business degree. Experience with SAP, CRM, ERP, or product lifecycle management systems. Experience developing business cases and financial models for product investments. Experience with new product introduction and product launch processes. Familiarity with industrial automation applications and manufacturing environments.
