Skills for Work-Employment Coach

Job TitleEssential Duties and Responsibilities Client Support & Skill Development1. Provides specific, on-site training to clients enrolled in transition programs.2. Facilitates job modifications as needed to accommodate client abilities and workplace requirements.3. Provides supportive supervision to clients while promoting independence and skill development.4. Initiates and fosters positive communication and relationships between clients and their coworkers/employers.5. Serves as a positive role model for clients, demonstrating appropriate work behaviors and expectations.6. May perform client job tasks for a short duration if the client is unable or unwilling, ensuring continuity of work and training opportunities.Performance Monitoring & Documentation7. Conducts on-site evaluations of client performance and provides feedback to the Employment Specialist.8. Assists in maintaining accurate records and documentation related to client progress and employment outcomes.9. Attends client service reviews, department, committee, and unit meetings as directed.Transportation & Community Support10. Arranges or provides transportation for clients to and from employment sites as directed.11. Accepts other duties as assigned.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required• Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent (GED).• Prior experience working with individuals with varying abilities.• Flexibility in work hours to meet client and employer needs.• Ability to perform the supported job in the absence of a client, ensuring continuity of training.• Must possess a valid Wisconsin driver's license and current insurance.• Reliable means of transportation.• Strong verbal and written communication skills.• Ability to work effectively and professionally with clients, employers, and coworkers.Preferred• Experience in supported employment or vocational skills training.• Knowledge of workplace accommodations and job modification strategies.• Experience maintaining documentation and reporting on client progress.Equal Opportunity Employer This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
