The opportunity: We areseekinga highly motivated,innovativeimmunologist to join the Odyssey team at our laboratories in Boston, MA.Working with project leaders and senior scientists, you will conduct experiments to drive scientific research in the field of immunology.You will work as a member of an integrated project team to develop drugs for the treatment of inflammatory-mediated disease. You will work in ahighlycross-disciplinary, fast-moving environment, and will be drawing upon your experience tohelpdrive drug discovery projects forward. You willpossessstrong communicationskills, be a world-class scientist,havea proventrackrecordofinnovation and scientific rigor. You will be joining a fast-pacedteamof scientists and drug developers. Your primary objectives will be: Develop and conduct biochemical, cellular, and immunology assays in both immortalized and primary cells Formulate tactical and strategicapproaches to interrogate scientific problems Develop, implement,and execute experiments Conduct your research in a manner compliant with laboratory requirements, including safety and record keeping Provide interpretation and analysis of results and present findings in cross-functional project team meetings Collaborate with andassistother scientists in thegroup About you: PhD inImmunology or related field with 4+ years of experience or Master’sdegree with 8+ years of industry experience will be considered Strong teamplayer with excellentverbaland written communication skills and with a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and thrive in a team environment Proven record of innovative thinking to propose and championnew ideasand solve problems A provenrecord of scientific accomplishmentwith high-impactpublications in peer reviewedjournals Extensive experience in mammalian cell culture, cell-based assays,flow cytometry, molecular biology techniques,anduse ofpharmacological and genetic toolsto interrogate biological mechanisms Technicalexpertisein developing and performingcomplex assays on primaryimmunecelltypes in vitro and ex vivo Additionaltechnicalskills: Hands on skills and experience in immunological, biochemical, and molecular techniquesincluding isolation of primary cellsfrom tissues, quantification of mRNA (qPCR) and protein expression,ELISA, western blotting, immunoprecipitation, multiplex assays, molecular cloning, proximity-based assays, biochemical and cellular screening assays,CRISPrmodification of cell lines and primary cell types,and experience with animal modelsarepreferred.
