Electronics TechnicianWe are seeking an experienced Electrical/Electronic Technician to join our Engineering Lab. This position involves supporting complex products and equipment through design, development, fabrication, assembly, testing, inspection, troubleshooting, rework, and repair.ResponsibilitiesProficiently use electronic test equipment, machine tools, and hand tools.Read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings and sketches.Fabricate, assemble, test, and inspect per engineering drawings, sketches, and verbal instructions.Conduct testing and generate report data.Perform calibration and alignment checks.Make equipment adjustments, modifications, reworks, and repairs.Work effectively as part of a group or team.Assemble electronic and mechanical equipment and components.Assemble, rework, and repair circuit boards with surface mount and through-hole components.Fabricate mechanical and electrical parts from sketches/drawings and prepare samples for testing.Operate equipment necessary to fulfill these duties.Maintain a safe work environment and ensure compliance with safety objectives and policies.Essential SkillsElectronicsTroubleshootingHardwareRepairPrototype assemblySolderingMinimum of an AAS Degree in Electronics or 5+ years hands-on experienceMinimum of 2+ years experience as an electronics tech doing prototype buildsMinimum of 2+ years experience solderingMinimum of 2+ years experience in an engineering product development, test, or production environmentElectricalOscilloscopePCBTest equipmentAssemblyCircuit boardAdditional Skills & QualificationsProficient use of complex fabrication equipmentFabrication and assembly to precise tolerances and standardsAbility to understand complex engineering drawings and informationAssist engineers in the design and development of new systems and equipmentDevelop and prepare schematics, design specifications, and parts lists, or make recommendations regarding these itemsReview designs, specifications of test equipment, or tools for adequacyConduct tests or experiments requiring selection, set-up, operation, maintenance, calibration, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide variety of equipmentTroubleshoot electronic, electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic/pneumatic systemsDetermine engineering/test data to be collected, extract information, and perform calculations to analyze test dataCreate test procedures, conduct tests, record data, analyze data, and write reportsTrained and proficient in manufacturing & quality requirements of IPC/WHMA-A-620 and IPC-610 or have knowledge of these requirementsWork EnvironmentThe position is based in an Engineering Lab.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Maple Grove, MN.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $28.00 - $33.00/hr.Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
