Lab AssistantThe Lab Assistant will prepare samples for analytical and microbiological testing of food products, ingredients, and environmental samples. This role involves following approved microbiological techniques and methodologies used in analytical testing.ResponsibilitiesPrepare samples for microbiological and chemistry analysis.Apply aseptic techniques.Maintain media and reagents.Clean and sanitize work area and glassware.Perform quality control monitoring by taking incubator temperatures, inoculating control organisms, and running media controls.Essential SkillsStrong attention to detail and ability to follow specific directions and standard operating procedures.Ability to follow procedures.Additional Skills & QualificationsDegree in the Sciences preferred.Work EnvironmentThis role is based in a Microbiology Testing Laboratory. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 4 pm to midnight. The environment emphasizes opportunities for advancement within the FSN Lab.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of De Pere, WI.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
