Island Kids is hiring! We are seeking a caring, dependable, and EXPERIENCED Preschool & Pre-Kindergarten Teacher to join our team. Qualifications & Requirements CDA, teaching credential, or degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field. Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education preferred. Minimum of 2 years of experience working with preschool and/or pre-kindergarten children. Knowledge of early childhood development and age-appropriate teaching practices. Ability to create and implement engaging, developmentally appropriate lesson plans and learning activities. Ability to maintain a safe, nurturing, and positive classroom environment. Strong communication and interpersonal skills when working with children, families, and coworkers. Patience, compassion, creativity, and enthusiasm for working with young children. Ability to observe and document children's development and progress. Understanding of classroom management and positive guidance techniques. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a teaching team. Must meet all applicable state and childcare licensing requirements, including required background screening, health/safety training, and certifications. CPR and First Aid certification preferred or required as applicable. Professional, reliable, and committed to providing high-quality early childhood education.
