Key Responsibilities\n

  • Conduct thorough bio-psychosocial evaluations to identify and address barriers to treatment for students and families.

  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans utilizing both individual and group therapeutic modalities, ensuring alignment with best practices and evidence-based approaches.

  • Work closely with teachers, support staff, and parents to create a holistic care plan aimed at improving students’ psychosocial functioning and academic performance.

  • Document all social work interventions and patient progress in accordance with departmental standards, maintaining comprehensive and accurate records.

  • Provide education to patients and their families regarding treatment options and recommendations, facilitating understanding and adherence to the care plan.

  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to enhance care coordination, ensuring that each patient receives integrated support.

  • Engage in community outreach and advocacy, identifying and accessing community resources to support students' needs.

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of available social services and community resources, integrating them as necessary to optimize patient care and support.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary focus of this role is on school-aged children and adolescents facing a range of psychosocial issues. You will provide empathetic and effective mental health services tailored to various developmental stages and cultural backgrounds. Understanding the unique challenges faced by students within the educational system, including anxiety, depression, and behavioral concerns, is crucial in this role, as well as fostering resilience and self-determination among students.

Qualifications\n

  • A Master’s Degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.

  • Current licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Illinois.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of social work principles, human development stages, and the specific mental health needs of children and adolescents.

Preferred Experience\n

  • At least six months to one year of clinical experience in a health or mental health setting, preferably with school-aged populations.

  • Experience working as part of a multidisciplinary team dedicated to serving children's mental health needs is highly valued.

  • Familiarity with the NASW Code of Ethics and compliance standards related to social work practice.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary for this role ranges from USD 85,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
